Mark & Erin are very much like ourselves. They love to travel, they love adventure, and they are very laid back and relaxed. So when we all got together for their engagement session at Fort Edmonton Park, we knew the fun would never end and had been looking forward to their wedding for what seemed like eternity. There is just something about two people being MADLY in love that gets us all gooey on the inside. It's a special kind of love and these two were smothered in it.
The First Look went off without a hitch. She walked down the stairs, placed her hand on his shoulder, and the rest was magical. The moment that Mark saw Erin, you could see that special kind of love, and they just held each other, embracing each other in laughter and tears.
We all made our way to Hastings Lake Gardens where they were joined in a beautiful and intimate ceremony. Hastings Lake Gardens has a stunning array of colors and flowers surrounding a beautiful gazebo that just shouts romance. We took advantage of how gorgeous the gardens are and captured as much as we could in our time there.
Erin and Mark DYI'd the reception decor including the wax wall backdrop (just gorgeous for photos!), the centerpieces (they cut down a huge birch tree themselves!!), table numbers, seating chart, and the photo booth. And if that wasn't enough, Erin also did all the floral arrangements, the cupcakes, and cake, proving that you can do it all while being one of the most relaxed brides ever. To top it all off, for their first dance Mark and Erin foxtrotted across the dance floor wowing us all with their dance skills.
Congratulations Erin and Mark - we could not be happier for the two of you! We are so thrilled that we were able to be a part of your special day and wish you a lifetime of love, laughter, and happiness!
