If you're ever looking for new & interesting venues to get married and enjoy the dramatic side of things, the Garneau Theatre may be exactly what you are looking for. And for Kim & Sean, this was the perfect venue. Both Kim & Sean are teachers at a school in Edson, AB and fell pretty hard for each other right after they met. Both graduated from the University of Alberta and both absolutely love teaching and education. After a cute and touching video made by the couple, a gorgeous ceremony surrounded by red velvet curtains and center stage, these two love birds flew across the street to the historic Garneau School for some creative bridal portraits.
We carried on down the street to their old alma mater, the University of Alberta. The university itself is full of historic and venerable architecture which created a beautiful and eloquent backdrop for pictures. Visiting the University of Alberta flooded us all with nostalgic memories and embraced our youthful shenanigans and we were politely kicked out of the Rutherford Library. (Sorry to all of the young students studying for your finals, We just wanted some photos!)
We headed out to the Mosaic Centre for a beautiful sunset dinner (catered by Workshop Eatery) surrounded by the people that they held most dear. The food was incredible, the company was amicable and fun, and the setting was breath-taking. All in all, it was a fantastic night with some fantastic people.
Congratulations Kim & Sean! Cheers to the coolest teachers in school!
