I think one of the most under-looked and under appreciated shots in the whole wedding day can be the Ring shots. To us, the ring is a sign of unity, loyalty, and of course, character. It's such a simple way to demonstrate the environment of the wedding and the rings can be used as symbols of those who wear them and the love they envelope within each other. Some people love vintage cars and such a style to match or travel to the mountains surrounded by forest and nature, while other's are surrounded by palm trees and tropical beaches.
It's something that can be done anywhere with anyone, yet the creativity we constantly see with ring shots is astonishing. The possibilities are endless (as with most photography) but each photographer has their own vision of conveyance. We like ring shots that can paint a picture of the wedding in your head with only one photo that shows no actual people, but you already have an idea of what kind of characters they are and how the day may have looked.
You can explain so much of the day with only two of the smallest parts of the wedding and just a little imagination and thought. Here's a few examples of exactly what we're talking about!
